Cold Hawaii Youth World Cup
The week kicked off with classic North Sea conditions: howling winds, punchy swell, and an electric atmosphere poised with anticipation. Wave heats launched in Klitmøller, where riders showcased their skills in clean side-shore setups and well-formed waves.
The action then shifted north to Hanstholm, where bigger surf and stronger wind delivered the perfect canvas for the decisive rounds. Monday and Tuesday brought the most epic sessions of the week — long heats, jaw-dropping rides, and world-class windsurfing that had judges and spectators on the edge of their seats.
Midweek, the spotlight turned inland to the fjord near Thisted, where the slalom course was set. Tactical finesse and technical precision were the name of the game. And despite light wind windows on Friday and Saturday, the commitment from the riders and crew never wavered. In between waiting periods, the beach buzzed with camaraderie, training, and laid-back vibes.
Sunday delivered the grand finale: four decisive rounds in the fin slalom discipline. Riders battled through gusty patches and fierce competition, pushing their mental and physical limits. It was a fitting climax to a week that embodied everything Cold Hawaii stands for.
With participants from Bonaire, Germany, Poland, France, the Netherlands, Italy, Turkey, and Denmark, the event radiated international energy. On the water, on the beach, and around shared meals, a spirit of global unity prevailed — where rivalry and friendship blended seamlessly. For many, it was a first taste of Cold Hawaii; for others, a return to a place that now feels like home.
The Cold Hawaii Youth Windsurf World Cup 2025 was a celebration of wind power, wave rhythm, and youthful passion. From Klitmøller’s surf to Hanstholm’s swell and Thisted’s slalom lanes, the riders gave it their all — and the audience got a glimpse of windsurfing’s bright future.
A massive shoutout to all riders, volunteers, sponsors, and locals — and above all, to Cold Hawaii, for delivering yet another unforgettable chapter in windsurfing history.
